Lennie Lower was an Australian journalist, author, and radio broadcaster. He was born in Sydney in 1891 and died in Sydney in 1971. He was best known for his humorous and satirical writing, which appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout Australia. He was also a popular radio broadcaster, hosting a number of shows on the ABC. He wrote several books, including the best-selling "Lennie Lower's Australia" (1937) and "Lennie Lower's World" (1941). He was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1967 for his services to journalism and broadcasting.
