Louis Joseph Vance (1879–1933) was an American novelist, screenwriter, and film producer. He is best known for creating the character Michael Lanyard, also known as "The Lone Wolf," featured in a series of popular mystery novels. Vance's work often involved themes of adventure and espionage. He also adapted several of his novels into screenplays during the early 20th century.
