Chaos or Community?, Martin Luther King Jr. examines the state of race relations in the United States in 1967. He argues that the civil rights movement has achieved significant progress, but that much more needs to be done to achieve true racial equality. He calls for a shift from civil rights to human rights, and for a new form of economic justice that will benefit all Americans, regardless of race. He also calls for an end to the Vietnam War and for a new approach to international relations. He argues that the only way to achieve true peace and justice is through nonviolence and love. He concludes by calling for a new sense of hope and faith in the future.
