Max Williams (1917-2006) was an American author and journalist. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a correspondent for the Associated Press in Europe. After the war, he worked as a freelance writer and wrote several books, including The Seeder (1961). He also wrote for magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, and Reader's Digest. He was a member of the Authors Guild and the Mystery Writers of America.
