Miles Franklin

Miles Franklin (1879-1954) was an Australian author and feminist. She is best known for her novel My Brilliant Career, which was published in 1901. She wrote several other novels, including All That Swagger (1936), My Career Goes Bung (1946), and All That Glitters (1951). She was a strong advocate for women's rights and was a founding member of the Australian Women's National League. She was also a passionate supporter of the Australian Labor Party. She was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1948 for her services to literature.
