Norman Angell (1872–1967) was a British author, journalist, and politician. He is best known for his book "The Great Illusion" (1910), which argued that war was economically and socially irrational. Angell was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1933 for his efforts in promoting peace. He was a member of the Labour Party and served as a Member of Parliament. His work focused on international relations and the economic interdependence of nations.
