Percival Wilde (1903-1956) was an American author and playwright. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He wrote several plays, including The Reckoning, which was produced on Broadway in 1953. He also wrote several novels, including The Man Who Loved the Moon (1951) and The House of the Seven Gables (1954). Wilde was known for his witty dialogue and his ability to create vivid characters. He was also a noted wit and raconteur. He died in 1956 at the age of 53.
