Percy B. St. John (1868-1941) was an American author, journalist, and editor. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He began his career as a journalist, writing for the New York Sun and the New York Times. He later became an editor for the New York Tribune and the New York World. St. John wrote several books, including The Story of the American Flag (1917), The Story of the Constitution (1919), and The Story of the Declaration of Independence (1921). He also wrote several books on the history of the United States, including The Story of the United States (1925) and The Story of the American Revolution (1927). St. John was a member of the American Historical Association and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was also a member of the National Institute of Arts and Letters. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1927 for his book The Story of the American Revolution.
