Perley Poore Sheehan (1865–1925) was an American author and journalist. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and attended Harvard University. He began his career as a journalist in 1887, working for the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald. He later moved to New York City, where he worked for the New York World and the New York Times. Sheehan wrote several books, including The Life of General Grant (1902), The Life of General Sherman (1904), and The Life of General Sheridan (1906). He also wrote several novels, including The Great White Way (1908), The White Moll (1910), and The White Sister (1912). Sheehan was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the National Institute of Arts and Letters. He died in 1925 in New York City.
