Samuel Levy Bensusan (1917-2006) was a French-born British author and journalist. He was born in Paris and moved to London in 1938. He wrote several books, including Lawrence (1958), a biography of T.E. Lawrence. He also wrote several novels, including The Man Who Was Not There (1962) and The Man Who Lived Twice (1966). He was a regular contributor to the London Evening Standard and the Sunday Times. He was also a frequent guest on BBC radio and television programmes. He was awarded the OBE in 1975 for his services to literature.
