They Knew What They Wanted
Knew What They Wanted is a romantic comedy written by Sidney Coe Howard in 1924. The story follows Tony Patucci, a wealthy Italian-American businessman, and Amy, a young woman from a small town in California. Tony is determined to marry Amy, despite her reluctance to commit to him. He uses his wealth and influence to try to win her over, but she remains steadfast in her refusal. Meanwhile, Tony's business partner, Joe, is also in love with Amy and is determined to win her heart. He uses his own charm and wit to try to win her over, but she remains unimpressed. As the two men compete for Amy's affections, they must also deal with the interference of Tony's overbearing mother and the disapproval of Amy's father. In the end, Tony and Joe must decide if they are willing to put aside their differences and work together to win Amy's heart. Will they be able to overcome their differences and find true love? Or will their rivalry tear them apart?
