Sonora Jha is an Indian-American author and academic. She studied at the University of Delhi and later received her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. Jha's debut novel, "The Laughter," was published in 2020. Her writing explores themes of identity, culture, social justice, and gender roles. In addition to her fiction, Jha is a cultural critic and essayist whose articles have appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Hindu.
