Stephen Bartholomew (1917-2006) was an American science fiction author and editor. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he worked as an editor for several science fiction magazines, including Galaxy Science Fiction and If. He wrote several novels, including The Hermit of Mars (1963), The Star Seekers (1965), and The Time Trap (1966). He also wrote several short stories, which were published in various magazines. He was a member of the Science Fiction Writers of America and the Science Fiction Research Association.
