Sun Tzu (also known as Sun Wu, Sunzi, and Sun Bin) was a Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher who lived in the 6th century BC. He is traditionally credited as the author of The Art of War, an influential work of military strategy that has been used by both Eastern and Western military leaders. Sun Tzu's teachings have been applied to many fields outside of the military, including business and sports. He is also known for his philosophical works, such as The Sun Tzu Suan Ching.
