In a remote and desolate castle, a solitary cenobite named Bjorn lives in isolation, disconnected from the modern world. He spends his days reflecting on the past, surrounded by ancestral portraits that seem to converse with him. To alleviate his loneliness, he invites the spirits of his ancestors to a midnight banquet, where they materialize as ghostly figures clad in armor. As the clock strikes midnight, the phantoms arrive, each one a remnant of a bygone era, bringing with them the weight of history. They take their seats at the table, and Bjorn serves them wine, creating a surreal atmosphere filled with eerie sounds and flickering candlelight. The banquet transforms into a chaotic revelry, with the spirits indulging in wine and food, their ghostly forms animated by the intoxication of the moment. The scene becomes increasingly riotous as the spirits engage in boisterous antics, reminiscent of their former lives as warriors. They laugh, fight, and sing, creating a cacophony that drowns out any semblance of solemnity. Bjorn watches with a mix of sadness and fascination, aware of the fleeting nature of their revelry. As dawn approaches, the spirits, exhausted from their night of debauchery, begin to fade. The once-vibrant banquet hall returns to its somber state, and the phantoms lay down to rest, returning to their eternal slumber. Bjorn is left alone once more, contemplating the ephemeral nature of life and the weight of history that lingers in the silence of his castle.
