Ticul Alvarez

Ticul Alvarez is a Mexican-American author and illustrator. He was born in Mexico City and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is the author of several books, including the award-winning picture book, The Day It Snowed Tortillas, and the middle grade novel, The Last Day of the Aztecs. He has also illustrated several books, including the critically acclaimed The Legend of La Llorona. His work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, and the Washington Post. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
