Victor L. Whitechurch (1868–1933) was an English author and Anglican priest. He was born in London and educated at St. John's College, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1892 and served as a curate in London and then as vicar of St. Mary's, Islington. He wrote more than 50 novels, mostly detective stories, and was a founding member of the Detection Club. He also wrote several non-fiction works, including a work on the history of the Church of England.
