W. Crispin Sheppard was a British author of juvenile and popular adventure fiction, active mainly in the early decades of the twentieth century. He wrote numerous fast-paced stories for boys, often involving voyages, exploration, military exploits, mysteries, and dangers in distant settings. His books include The Lost Legion, The Peril Finders, and The Outlaws of the Air. Biographical information about Sheppard is limited, and he is chiefly remembered through his adventure novels rather than through a well-documented personal life.
