Winston Churchill (1874–1965) was a British statesman, army officer, and writer. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II and again in the early 1950s. Churchill was also a prolific author, known for his historical writings and speeches. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953 for his mastery of historical and biographical description. His notable works include "The Second World War" and "A History of the English-Speaking Peoples."
