How Textopian Uses AI: A Transparency Note

Which parts of Textopian are AI-generated and which are not — a plain explanation of our editorial policy on author bios, book metadata, and companion guides.

Most reading sites either pretend AI is invisible or treat it as the main feature. We do neither. AI is part of how this site is built, and you have a right to know which parts.

This note is short and direct. It explains what is AI-generated on Textopian, what is not, and what we do to keep the AI-assisted parts worth your time.

The literary texts themselves. Every novel, poem, essay, and play on Textopian is the original work of its human author. We source these from public-domain archives — primarily Project Gutenberg, plus a smaller number from Wikisource, the Internet Archive, and direct digitizations of out-of-copyright editions. We correct OCR errors and apply consistent formatting, but the prose is the author's, word for word.
