This book is a meeting between two generations of childhoods lived in the forced absence caused by disappearance and extrajudicial killing: that of the daughters and sons of social activists disappeared and killed by the Mexican government in the 1970s and 1980s; and that of the sons and daughters of people disappeared in the context of the country's militarization, from the 2000s onward. A meeting that brings together Alicia, Luis Miguel, Ricardo, and Marakorea, looking straight at Heber, Kim, Vania, Dana, Cristian, Gabriel, and León.
This book, produced with the cooperation of Artículo 19 and the Heinrich Böll Foundation, is an invitation to listen to children. It places at its center their experiences and their lived reality in the face of the grave human rights violations they have suffered, such as the disappearance and extrajudicial killing of their fathers and mothers.
