Homily, Easter Vigil-April 19, 2003.

Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome set out at dawn. Tonight, we have also set out-following the journey of the People of God along the paths of the chosen, of promise and of the covenant. The journey of these women is embedded in this long walk of centuries... and in ours too. Because to be chosen and to be carriers of the covenant means to always be on the march. The covenant that God makes with his people and with each one of us is made precisely so that we may walk toward a promise, toward an encounter. This walk is life.
