The sun has risen, or rather has cast a feeble yellow wash on the skyless clouds. Still, I sit here and write, moved afresh into a frenzy so my mind can grasp and clutch at memories. I find myself parsing through the moments, sorting, cataloging, then shaking my head helplessly as they all flutter away like a hundred starlings on the wing, pulsing and wheeling as one. And what is that one singular sense I seek to make of such a flight? I seek, in particular, any hint of missteps or errors of word or judgment on my part in all the things that came to pass.
