As Jesus walked the dusty Palestinian roads, He chose a group of damaged men to be His "disciples," or students. Jesus' crew consisted of a terrorist, a demon-filled nut job who would betray Jesus for money, a chronic denier, a doubting Thomas, a racist, and a tax collector. (In Jesus' day, the last of these was worse than being a child molester! ) How is that for a group of damaged people?
