(Doña Inés, Don Juan, angels)
DON JUAN: Merciful God, Glory to You! Tomorrow, the Sevillians, thinking I fell at my victim's hands, will be astonished, it's true. But that is just: for eternity, too, may the universe record, men know, that the God of mercy, here below, who, at the moment of contrition, saved my spirit from perdition, is the God of Don Juan Tenorio. (Don Juan falls at the feet of Doña Inés, and they both die. Their souls represented by two brilliant flames, leave their mouths and disappear into space accompanied by the sound of music. The curtain falls.)
