Alan Sullivan

Alan Sullivan (1868-1947) was a Canadian author and journalist. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, and educated at the University of Toronto. He began his career as a journalist in 1891, working for the Toronto Globe and Mail. He later worked for the Toronto Star and the Montreal Star. Sullivan wrote several books, including Under the Northern Lights (1928), a collection of stories about life in the Canadian North. He also wrote a number of books about Canadian history, including The Story of Canada (1930) and The Story of the Canadian People (1935). He was a member of the Royal Society of Canada and was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1935.
