The Wood Sprite

Inside, he finds the Wood Sprite exhausted and a maiden weeping. The maiden, who has been held captive by the Wood Sprite, does not know her origins or family. The hunter decides to rescue her, leading her out of the woods and through villages, seeking her identity. Eventually, they reach the pope's village, where the pope recognizes his long-lost daughter. The reunion is emotional, though the girl struggles to comprehend her return. The pope and his wife express their joy and gratitude to the hunter, who is rewarded for his bravery. Now, in this wood, in which her mother and father lived, there was a bold hunter. On every holy day he used to go hunting with his gun and his dog in the dreamy forest.
