Arthur Miller (1915-2005) was an American playwright and essayist. He was born in Harlem, New York City, and studied at the University of Michigan. Miller is best known for his plays "Death of a Salesman," "The Crucible," and "A View from the Bridge." His works often explore themes of identity, morality, and the American Dream. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1949 for "Death of a Salesman." Miller was married to Marilyn Monroe from 1956 to 1961.
