Barry Pain (1864–1928) was an English author and journalist. He was born in London and educated at Dulwich College. He began his career as a journalist, writing for the Pall Mall Gazette and other newspapers. He later became a prolific author, writing over 100 books and numerous short stories. His works include novels, collections of short stories, essays, and poetry. He was known for his humorous and satirical writing style. He was also a popular lecturer, and was a member of the Fabian Society. He died in 1928 in London.
