Caroline Leakey

Caroline Leakey is a British author and journalist. She is the author of several books, including the best-selling memoir, My Life with the Primates. She is also the author of the award-winning book, The Human Story: Our Evolution from Prehistoric Ancestors to Today. Leakey was born in London and grew up in Kenya. She studied anthropology at the University of Cambridge and has a PhD in evolutionary anthropology from the University of Oxford. She has worked as a journalist for the BBC, The Guardian, and The Times. Leakey is a passionate advocate for conservation and animal rights. She is a trustee of the Jane Goodall Institute and a patron of the Born Free Foundation. She is also a member of the International Primatological Society and the Royal Geographical Society. Leakey is the daughter of renowned paleoanthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey. She is married to the British actor and director, Mark Williams.
