Polaris of The Snows
Polaris of the Snows is a historical novel set in the late 19th century. It follows the story of a young man named Polaris, who is born in the small village of Kaskanak, Alaska. He is the son of a Native Alaskan mother and a white father, and his mixed heritage makes him an outcast in the village. Polaris is determined to make something of himself, and he sets out on a journey to find his father, who left the village many years ago. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including a mysterious shaman, a Russian fur trader, and a young woman who helps him on his quest. Polaris eventually finds his father, who is now a successful businessman in San Francisco. He also discovers the truth about his heritage and learns to accept himself for who he is. In the end, Polaris returns to Kaskanak and helps the village to prosper.
