Charles Saphro (1917-1962) was an American author and journalist. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He wrote several books, including Zero Data (1952), a science fiction novel about a scientist who discovers a way to travel through time. He also wrote several non-fiction books, including The Story of the Atom (1954) and The Story of the Universe (1956). He was a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and other magazines. He died in 1962 at the age of 45.
