A young rabbit, Little Jack Rabbit, begins his day with a cheerful routine, enjoying breakfast and receiving a warning from his mother about the lurking danger of Danny Fox. As he ventures out, he encounters various woodland creatures and engages in playful antics. His journey leads him to the Billy Goat Stage Coach, where he travels to Turnip Town to buy a chocolate mouse. However, his adventure takes a dark turn when Mr. Wicked Wolf captures him and places him in a sack, intending to make him dinner. In a moment of desperation, Jack Rabbit recalls a voice from a treetop guiding him to escape. He cleverly uses a knife to create a hole in the sack and follows the voice's instructions to outsmart the wolf. After a series of tense moments, he manages to replace himself with a stone, tricking the wolf when he reaches home. The wolf, furious at being deceived, throws the stone away, allowing Jack Rabbit to return safely to his mother. Just as they prepare to enjoy an evening of stories, Mr. Wicked Wolf reappears, threatening their peace. However, Jack Rabbit's mother cleverly uses electricity to shock the wolf, driving him away. The story concludes with the rabbit family heading to Cousin Cottontail's for a joyful evening.
