Donna Tartt is an American author born on December 23, 1963, in Greenwood, Mississippi. She attended the University of Mississippi and later transferred to Bennington College. Tartt is best known for her novels "The Secret History" (1992), "The Little Friend" (2002), and "The Goldfinch" (2013), the latter of which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
