Dora C. C. L. Roper (1890–1962) was an American author and educator. She was born in New York City and attended Hunter College and Columbia University. She taught English and Latin at the Horace Mann School for Girls in New York City for many years. Roper wrote several books, including The Story of the Greeks (1925), The Story of the Romans (1927), and The Story of the Middle Ages (1929). She also wrote several books of poetry, including The Poetry of the Ages (1930) and The Poetry of the Ages II (1932). Roper was a member of the National Council of Women of the United States and the National League of American Pen Women. She was also a member of the American Association of University Women and the National Association of University Women.
