Edward Payson Roe

Born on August 7, 1838, in Newburgh, New York. Died on January 22, 1888. American novelist and clergyman. Ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1863. Published his first novel in 1870. Wrote over 40 novels during his lifetime, often focusing on themes of love, morality, and social issues.
