Ella Young (1867-1956) was an Irish poet, author, and Celtic scholar. She was born in County Antrim, Ireland, and was educated at the Royal University of Ireland. She was a member of the Irish Literary Revival and was a close friend of W.B. Yeats. She wrote several books, including The Coming of Lugh, The Wonder-Smith and His Son, and The Tangle-Coated Horse. She was also a lecturer and a teacher of Irish mythology and folklore. She was a strong advocate for Irish independence and was a member of the Irish Republican Army. She died in 1956 in Dublin, Ireland.
