Eric Schlosser is an American journalist and author known for his investigative journalism on topics such as the fast food industry, nuclear weapons, and the American prison system. He is the author of the best-selling books Fast Food Nation (2001), Reefer Madness (2003), and Command and Control (2013). He has also written for The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Rolling Stone. Schlosser has won numerous awards for his work, including the Sidney Hillman Foundation Award, the James Beard Foundation Award, and the PEN USA Literary Award. He is a fellow at the Center for Investigative Reporting and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
