Ethel Mills is an American author and illustrator of children's books. She was born in New York City and grew up in the Bronx. She attended the High School of Art and Design and the School of Visual Arts. She has written and illustrated over twenty books for children, including the popular series, The Adventures of Little Red Riding Hood. Her books have been published in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. She has also illustrated books for other authors, including the popular series, The Magic School Bus. Mills has won numerous awards for her work, including the Coretta Scott King Award for Illustration. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
