Evelyn Rosalie Garratt (1854–1938) was an English author of religious and children's fiction, and a memoirist. Born in 1854, she was the daughter of the Rev. Samuel Garratt (1817–1906), a prominent Evangelical clergyman in the Church of England associated with Ipswich, and of Latitia Sarah Bathsua Garratt. She wrote devotional and moralistic fiction for children and adults, reflecting her Evangelical upbringing — notably Mother's Nell (1877), Geoff's Little Sister (1900), The Radiant City: An Allegory, Luke's Wife, and Free to Serve. In 1908, two years after her father's death, she published Life and Personal Recollections of Samuel Garratt, a memoir preserving his life and ministry. A minor, faith-oriented Victorian and Edwardian author, she survives today chiefly through the several of her works that remain in print in the public domain.
