François Crastre (1860-1930) was a French art historian and critic. He was born in Paris and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. He was a professor at the École des Arts Décoratifs and the École des Beaux-Arts. He wrote several books on the history of art, including Puvis de Chavannes (1912), which was a critical study of the work of the French painter Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. He also wrote on the works of other French painters, such as Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres and Eugène Delacroix. He was a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts and the Société des Amis des Arts.
