Terror by Frank Stuart Flint (1916)

Terror is a novel by Frank Stuart Flint, set in the early 20th century. It follows the story of a young man, John, who is sent to a remote island in the South Pacific to investigate a mysterious cult. He soon discovers that the cult is led by a powerful and dangerous figure known as the High Priest, who is determined to use his power to control the island and its inhabitants. John must use all of his wits and courage to survive the island and its inhabitants, as he is pursued by the High Priest and his followers. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including a beautiful woman who may be the key to unlocking the secrets of the cult. As John gets closer to the truth, he finds himself in a race against time to save the island and its people from the High Priest's sinister plans.
