G.T. Bedell is an American author and illustrator. He is best known for his children's books, which often feature animals and nature themes. He has written and illustrated over twenty books, including the popular series The Adventures of Little Bear and The Adventures of Little Fox. He has also written and illustrated several picture books, including The Biggest Tree in the Forest and The Little Red Hen. Bedell was born in New York City and grew up in the suburbs of Long Island. He studied art and illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After graduating, he worked as a freelance illustrator for various magazines and newspapers. He has also worked as a graphic designer and art director for several advertising agencies. Bedell currently lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children. He continues to write and illustrate books for children, as well as create artwork for various projects. He is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
