Rifleman Brown is a young soldier in the British Army during World War I. He is sent to the front lines in France, where he experiences the horrors of war firsthand. After being wounded in battle, he is sent to a hospital in England to recover. While there, he meets a mysterious old man who tells him of a place called Valhalla, a mythical realm of warriors and heroes. The old man tells Rifleman Brown that if he can make it to Valhalla, he will be granted eternal life and glory. Rifleman Brown is determined to make it to Valhalla, and so he sets off on a journey across Europe. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including a beautiful French girl, a German soldier, and a mysterious monk. Eventually, Rifleman Brown reaches Valhalla, where he is welcomed by the gods and goddesses of Norse mythology. He is granted eternal life and glory, and is given a place among the heroes of Valhalla. Rifleman Brown's story is a testament to the courage and determination of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
