Gregory Thornton (1890-1962) was an English poet and playwright. He was born in London and educated at Oxford University. He wrote several plays, including The White Rose (1919) and The Golden Fleece (1920). He also wrote several volumes of poetry, including Sonnets of Shakespeare's Ghost (1920) and The Poet's Garden (1921). He was a member of the Poetry Society and the Royal Society of Literature. He was also a member of the Fabian Society and a member of the Labour Party. He died in 1962.
