Harold Bloom

Harold Bloom was born on July 11, 1930, in New York City. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his Master's and Ph.D. from Yale University. Bloom taught at various institutions including Yale, where he became a Sterling Professor of Humanities. He is known for his work in literary criticism, particularly in the areas of Romanticism and the Western Canon.
