Henry Lawson

Henry Lawson (1867-1922) was an Australian writer and poet who is widely regarded as one of the country's greatest writers. He is best known for his short stories and poems about the Australian bush and its people. His works often focus on the hardships of life in the outback, and his writing style is often seen as a reflection of the Australian character. He was born in New South Wales and spent much of his life in the bush, working as a drover, miner, and journalist. He wrote over 200 short stories and poems, many of which are still widely read today. He was awarded the Order of Merit in 1922, the highest honor given to an Australian writer. He died in 1922, aged 55.
