Jack Sharkey was an American author and screenwriter. He was born in New York City in 1925 and attended the University of Michigan. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. After the war, he worked as a journalist and wrote for several magazines, including The Saturday Evening Post and Collier's. Sharkey wrote several books, including The Creature Inside (1963), The Man Who Could Fly (1965), and The Man Who Couldn't Die (1966). He also wrote several screenplays, including The Man Who Could Fly (1966) and The Man Who Couldn't Die (1967). Sharkey died in Los Angeles in 1969.
