The story takes place on a spaceship carrying a cargo of frozen human bodies to the planet Callisto. The crew consists of three men: the captain, an engineer, and a doctor. They are all in suspended animation, awaiting their arrival at Callisto where they will be revived. Upon awakening, the crew discovers that something has gone terribly wrong. The ship's computer has malfunctioned, causing the frozen bodies to thaw prematurely. The crew is shocked to find that one of the bodies is not human - it is a creature from another planet. The creature begins to stir and eventually escapes its container, wreaking havoc on the ship. The crew must now fight for survival against this alien threat.
