An Eagle Flight by Jose Rizal (1889)
The novel revolves around the life of a young Filipino who returns to his homeland after years abroad and becomes involved with the country's revolutionary movement against Spanish colonial rule.
He joins an eagle flight, a group of rebels who use guerrilla tactics to attack Spanish forces in the mountains. The protagonist's experiences with the eagle flight are marked by violence, sacrifice, and ultimately, tragedy.
Throughout the novel, themes of patriotism, loyalty, and the struggle for independence are explored.
